Dear diary,
Oh, to come to the sweet sanctuary of your pages. To let the contents of my mind spill on to your pages. First order of business: Ben Hornes stint as General Lee. Was it as Dr. Jacoby said? A way for him to come to terms w/his own setbacks? I am not so sure of this. In the beginning, Ben wasn't so bad. Yes, he took a crushing defeat, but surely one that Benjamin Horne could over come. Also, in the beginning, when Catherine came to him, he knew perfectly well who she was. Was this because she was the double crosser? Maybe so. How can it be that he recognizes her, but not his own daughter? That is the thought that always comes back to haunt me. I get over it soon enough when I am too busy laughing at Ben's manner and especially when everone goes into character to help him get back to reality. Audrey's get up....oh, that is too, too funny! Bobby tooting on the horn, Jacoby dressed up like a midnight raider. And who can forget the state of Ben's office??? It looked like hell, Civil War style! I digress....
I have to admit, this is one of my favorite times in the show. The family gets together to help Ben. Man, what dedication they have. Caring not about the money, but just good, 'ol Ben. I tell you, it brings a tear to my eye. Diary, I have been offered an important assignment, so I'll have to cut this short tonight. Goodnight.
